AIDS LAW PROJECT (ALP) is a non-governmental organization which works exclusively to promote equal rights and justice for people living with HIV and AIDS. ALP focuses on using legal strategies to advance health rights for people living with and affected by HIV and AIDS. It was founded by lawyers whose desire was to give back to society, through applying their legal expertise in assisting people living with HIV and AIDS to acquire equal rights and treatment. ALP was formed in 2007 and registered on the same year.
To create a supportive environment that enhances and upholds human rights to health, enhanced living, protection and participation of People Living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA).
AIDS Law Project shall enhance lives by promoting the realization of human and health rights of PLWHA’S through advocacy and communication, legal services, policy, capacity strengthening, creating awareness and creation of partnerships through networking.
